I have several paintings to do in the months to come which have a beach narrative. In preparation I wanted to study some of Sorolla's paintings as he so masterfully painted this theme with artful expressive brushstrokes with what appeared to be great confidence. 

Here is a small portion of my copy of one of Sorolla's paintings...a sort of 'testing the water' on my part. I just love the colors which have been an ongoing study for me for over two years and actually began as I was analyzing some of Bouguereau's work.
